My DD has been putting everything in her mouth lately (most often my wallet) - I think she's getting some new teeth, so I decided to give her a frozen mini-bagel - something frozen and chewy thinking it would be a perfect teether.

But, rather than just chew on it, she decided to eat it...holding it in her warm hands and getting it all gooey, she managed to eat most of a frozen bagel, straight out of the freezer...

Is there any harm in eating frozen foods before they've defrosted?
I doubt it but figured I'd ask if anyone elses kids do it. I remember seeing a post about someone's DD eating frozen peas. Somehow a bagel seems a bit stranger though.

Thanks
Lisa

That's cute! No, I wouldn't worry. Frozen bagels are a good teething food. It would be hard for her to bite off a chunk. Just watch closely to make sure she isn't getting any pieces that are too big, and she should be fine.

No big deal. The bagels are already cooked. Just not toasted!

Thanks for the good idea! When Ainsleigh is teething I give her frozen peas, semi-defrosted frozen waffles, and semi-frozen bananas, but I've got bagels in the freezer that I'll use next!
