What to take when mom is BFing & has a head cold!

Any suggestions as to what may make this cold go away quickly? I took Tylenol, but what OTC meds are fair game for BFing moms?

Being sick and pregnant or nursing is awful! My OB/GYN and ped suggested the following OTC meds.

Plain Tylenol
Plain Sudafed
Plain Robitussin

They also suggested saline nose drops and cough drops for a sore throat! If it gets REALLY bad you will have to go to your DR to get a prescription for something stronger. If it gets that bad, you NEED to take the meds to get better or you will be no good for your baby! Yes, I'm on my "taking care of mommy soapbox", but someone has to do it or else we take care of everyone else first before we take care of ourselves! BTW - I was pregnant or nursing from 4/00 to 4/03 and the OTC meds don't make it go away faster...they just make it a little bit more tolerable! HTH and good luck!
