Hi there

I just wondering is this typical? I have had to 'pump and dump'' today due to dental work that was done and am really noticing that my left breast only seems to give out just about three ounces while the right one is practically overflowing!!!
should i be worried??

thanks

My right and left do the same thing- which always seems funny to me, b/c the left looks bigger. Sorry if TMI ;) but I think that's probably normal. Both sides distribute at different rates, too, which I hear is pretty common.

Mine are always different! I typically get at least an ounce more on the left side.

This is pretty common. No need to be worried!

Hello Elizabeth!

I have a super boob and a lazy boob, too, and from what I've read on the boards, I think most everyone else does, too! Right breast is super, left is lazy, like yours. I wonder if it has anything to do with hand dominance? (I'm a righty)

I have lazy boob and super boob as well and one is also bigger than the other sometimes!

Also a lazy lefty, though my letdown on that side is faster, so it usually drains WAY quicker than the other.
no relation to how i feed DS either

It could also just be the way the pump (or how you hold it) is or is not stimulating the breast b/c pumps never get as much as baby (babies are better pumps! LOL).

thanks everyone! What a relief! My husband got a chuckle of my lazy and super boob status especially since I didn't really even have much of any kind of boob before pregnancy and now!! forgetaboutit!!! who needs silicon- breastmilk Is best!!!!
also baby doesn't seem to have any complaints about them either since he is now proably at lest 13lbs at a day short of 2 months!!!! So they superlazy combo seems to work just fine.
