Logan has two teeth on the bottom now. I have never nursed a baby with teeth before, Jake didn't get teeth until he was 13 months old.
She isn't biting me, but her teeth are scraping my nipple and it hurts! I can tell that she has changed her latch because I can't see her tongue sticking out covering her bottom lip anymore. And when she sucks her thumb, which she used to do with a perfect latch, her tongue is no longer visible.
So I assume that her teeth hurt her tongue if she latches correctly? Is there a solution to this, or will my nipples just have to toughen up? How do you retrain a 7 month old to latch correctly?
She is quite a gymnastic nurser, turning this way and that, and popping off to look around, and every movement scrapes my nipple even more.
Nursing used to be so relaxing for me . . . I want it to be that way again.
