Hello Everyone!

I was just wondering if those of you with a PIS disassembled the yellow valve from the clear other stuff when cleaning.

Thanks!

I take it all apart every other cleaning or so. It's certainly not overkill to take it apart every time, and it only takes a few seconds to put back to together!

yup, every time. it gets really gunky in there otherwise. i rarely remove the white flaps, just because i'm always worried i will tear or lose one.

I do -- here in Georgia, it's so humid that things are very prone to mold and mildew if they're not aired out properly. I don't always take off the little white rubber disk thingy (I know there's a proper term for it, but I don't know what), but I do keep a close eye on it for signs of mold and mildew.

I disassemble everything when I clean them at the end of the day. I found that BM is very fatty and leaves a film on the parts. During the day at work, after each use I rinse the bottle and the parts (kept assembled) with really hot water.

We disassemble all the pieces, but don't take the membrane off. We just stick it in the dishwasher in the little basket we bought.

I don't take it apart during the day, just rinse out the horns thoroughly. However, I do take the valves and the membranes off/apart and stick them in the dishwasher for cleaning in the evenings.
