Sudafed and breastfeeding

Will Sudafed have a negative effect on my milk supply? If it's not good to take for cold/sinus stuffiness while bf, what is?

I don't know about sudafed, (although my dr said its OK but I haven't tried it as it keeps me awake) but I've been squirting Afrin up my nose like theres no tomorrow with no ill effects on BFing

sudafed did not affect my supply, but it does have that effect on some women.

Not to divert the thread but I'm so sick and congested and sinusy I just got all my pumping stuff out at work ready to pump only to find I brought the horns, and a lid- no bottles! I guess its formula tomorrow.

Be careful! Sudafed dramatically affected my supply, but did not affect other people I know. I built it back up pretty quickly, but it was bad for several days. As for other alternatives, I don't know what to tell you! I just suffered like a good martyr. :)
