Its been a rough day....she has not wanted to nurse at all...screams and crys when she sees the bub or gets into position....so we have been standing and nursing (gee thats been fun trying to hold her and the nipple shield uggg!...but we have done it all day! Once she latched on she was fine and I could sit, but getting there was tough. But its worth it I keep telling myself, this is whats best even if she protests at first. Our first all nursing day since being home from the hospital though so Im pretty happy. YEAH!!!! Baby steps in the right direction :) Thanks for all the support all, I dont think we would be here without you all :)

Good for you! I can't believe you are standing to start nursing, wow. And with a nipple shield too. This is an awesome gift you are giving your baby!

Great job!!!! It is tough, but in a month you will both be a pro and this will be a fading memory.

Keep up the fantastic job with nursing and we are here for you if you need us. :)

awesome! you are a good mother, working so hard to give your baby what is best.

I'm sure she'll allow you to sit down soon, I can't imagine getting latched on standing up. I always felt like I needed three hands even sitting down. :)

Awesome!!! You are truly amazing to have so much patience and mental (and physical) strength to stand up and breastfeed. Wow!
Keep up the great work... and hope you reach the point of sitting and feeding really soon. :)

i am so happy i could cry! how wonderful! i can emphathize with the feeling of working SO hard to make nursing work, and then finally feeling like you might be getting somewhere.

it will get SO MUCH EASIER every day and you won't believe how hard it used to be in a few more weeks. (i hope!!)

best of luck for more success. :)

Oh, I know how hard this is! I've been around that block with Jack. Keep up the great work. No matter what happens, you should be commended for your efforts.
