momma upset = sour milk: true or urban legend?

is it true that if a lactating mom gets upset and cries then her breastmilk will be sour tasting to her baby?

(i have to laugh at myself for posting this, but everyone needs a good cry once in a while, and today is my day!)

Nah... If you wonder, though, take a taste. Breastmilk is sweet, and your body wouldn't set up a mechanism for leaving your child hungry just because you experience a normal human emotion.

I hope things look up for you! Nurse away. It will probably help relax you, too. Hang in there. Whatever it is, this too shall pass.

Well, if so, DS must like sour milk just as well as sweet! I have definitely been upset and shed tears more than once since his birth, and it's never been a problem. Feel better soon!
