Saw these in the maternity section and thought they would work great as nursing tops for a much better price. Since empire waists are in style anyway, I don't think you'd even know it was maternity and would work great for covering a postpartum tummy. They have some others in prints as well as the solids.

I have this top in non-maternity and it is cut so generously that it works for me now (33 weeks pg) and will work as a nursing top as well! I just bought one size larger than normal in their regular clothing (when I bought it they weren't out in maternity so I can't compare the fit) but I'm thrilled to have spent $15 on a top that works for maternity AND nursing (and is cute - I got lime green with flowers ;) )

I will have to check my local store and see if they have it - thanks for the tip!

Heads up, they shrink bigtime. I got one, and it went down a whole size once washed. Otherwise I loved it :).

I haven't noticed much shrinkage with mine. I wear a small (non-pg_ and bought a med (misses, not maternity) and washed it on cold, dried on low. It had been gaping a bit at the cross-over and it's tightened that up a tad, and maybe a half inch in length at most. ON quality is so hit or miss, but I figured for a top that can be maternity and nursing/"normal" wear I'd take the risk for $15. Also, I believe that ON has a policy like Gap where you can take back anything that is defective within 14 days. I've never tried it but planned to with this shirt if it HAD shrunk badly. I just love it though - so cute :)

No problem :) It's definitely not as long in the front as mat shirts so I have to e careful which pants I wear it with unless I want a bit of tummy to show, but I was afraid the mat style would be too big/frumpy looking post pg, and I've only got 6 weeks left :) They still had a ton of these at my store. Lime green, bright yellow, tan and lilac with small flow prints.
