Should I get larger regular bras? Maternity bras? Nursing bras (even my old ones are too small!)

I had good luck just buying bigger bras from Victorias Secret. Their Body by Victoria line has served me well!

Well, it is me again and I want to recommend the YES maternity/nursing bra for you to give a try! It has been discussed alot on this site by lots of mothers so if you go through some messages you'll find it. This might work (not sure if this will take you to the last discussion or not but worth a try):

Anyway, I have quite a few of these and love them!!! I rave about them all the time to everyone I know. I wish I had heard about them when I was first pregnant but at least I have them now. Better late than never.

As for maternity or nursing bras, I think the best is to get a maternity/nursing bra. They'll be useful much longer than just maternity bras which don't have the opening cups for breastfeeding. This means you can get away with buying fewer bras too (save$$). The YES bras will serve maternity AND nursing. The time to buy bras is now, when your old bras don't fit and when those boobs are feeling sore and big.

Really, the YES bras are great and the price is excellent. I love them (oh, I already said that!) Now, off to read about nursing tanks which is what I want today - the hot weather is here!

Oh, to buy the YES bras you can do it on their website (which seems to have technical problems alot of the time) or to ebay.

Thank you, I had not heard of these! In late pregnancy with Ds I bought some nursing bras, of course since I had never actually nursed they turned out to be very inconvenient for nursing. LOL. Now I'm wearing the ones that are good for nursing but too small or the few pairs I bought on my triumphant bra-buying trip when I decided I didn't need the nursing ones - also too small!

I ended up buying some maternity ones from Mimi. They are kind of sports bra like, but don't give you uni-boob. They are very comfy, and have held up well. I bought extenders, and I haven't needed to buy any more bras, so they were worth the $. I think I bought them around 20 weeks or so.

At about that point I bought some non-maternity bras that were stretchy and inexpensive from Target. I waited to buy nursing bras since I had no clue what size I would need.

Melinda G!!! I just got this and LOVE it. It's sappose to grow with you, so I figure at least until I nurse it will do. I like it so much that I'm gonna use some as nursing bras to (their both maternity and nursing).

I have the soft cup t-shirt bra, and love it!!! Comfy, not ugly, very breathable! An A+++

I like the Walmart maternity/nursing bras that have the gel shoulder straps. They have an easy one-handed snap (drop cup style) and are very easy to use. Note: these are not great looking, but are sturdy and comfortable.

I'm 26 weeks and haven't tried maternity or nursing bras yet, but honestly haven't seen the need. I just assumed maternity bras, like underwear, were another one of those ploys to get you part with your dough, although unnecessary. I've just been buying regular, more comfortable bras in bigger sizes. I've been trying to hit clearances at places like Ross, TJMaxx, etc. - I don't really care what they look like - as long as they're comfy!

In the meantime, I did hit Ross and buy a couple of larger regular bras. The good news is that one fits and looks good. The bad news is the other's wires left scary-looking dents in me. I guess it was too small or just didn't fit right!

I think I will go for a maternity/nursing bra fitting at this store by my birthing center in the next couple of months. I'm sure it won't be cheap, but I can get by with just a couple if they fit well, to alternate into the mix.

Around that time, I bought 3 bras in a larger size, and they've lasted throughout my pregnancy. I wish I'd bought them week 8, when my bras started getting uncomfortable! Incidentally, I tried on about 40 bras to narrow it down to those 3. I was a different size in molded cup versus soft fabric. I also love my stash of maternity camisoles with built-in bras. Best maternity purchase ever!
