I'm getting desparate here & running out of time -- baby is due in 2.5 weeks. Selection is limited in my rural area so i'm having to order (& return) through the web & mail & would like to find something that works! (at which point i will buy 5 of them LOL) I know every company is different in sizing, but i'm about a 48C based on what i've tried so far & most of the sizing guides. Not a big fan of underwires. Because you all are so great about asking, here's what i've tried so far: THANK YOU for any suggestions!

I bought a YES bra earlier in my pregnancy & while it is comfortable, I'm looking for something with more support for more frequent wearing & going out after the baby arrives.

I have tried the Goddess 511 style. First in a 48D, which fit fine in the band, but the cup was way too big. I then tried a 46C. The cup was OK (assuming room for a little more growth &/or pads) but the band rode up slightly in the middle of the back. I don't think they had a 48C available but if anyone has seen one, let me know :)

I also tried the Leading Lady #6114 (a cotton-lined bra) from Motherwear in a 46DD & have not seen it in a 48D (only 48F which i think would be too big). The cups were OK but the band was a little bit snug and the shoulder straps also seemed a little tight (they left a mark after a few minutes).

The Goddess 511 is instock in 48C at amazon.com (through a partner site): http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B0000867DC/qid=1116730901/sr=8-1/ref=sr_8_xs_ap_i1_xgl193/002-1126291-5896028?v=glance&n=507846

There have been rave reviews on an Anita bra. I'll come back and edit with the information.
ETA: It's the Anita 5062. Here's one site that carries it: http://www.laurensilva.com/Anita_Softcup_Microfiber_Nursing_Bra_p/anit-5062.htm and you can search in here for some reviews.

I think the Goddess and Leading Lady run smaller than "normal" bras, or at least they did for me. From what I've read, the Anita runs more true-to-size. I haven't ordered it yet.

After a few months, I gave up on nursing bras entirely and used soft cup bras from Cacique from Lane Bryant. You can get coupons in the mail and with the perpetual buy one get one half off sales on the bras, they wind up being about $15. I like them because they go through the washer and dryer and at $15, I can chuck them when they get pilly or whatever. They also come in pretty colors (rather than only WHITE). Hands down, the Anita 5062. I just got two more from laurensilva.com. That now makes three of that bra, plus two 'granny' bras (Goddess, I think) that I got before finding the Anitas. The Anitas are seamless, have super easy opening clasps and wash/dry really fast.

At the retreat, I only had my single one (the others didn't arrive in time) and I was able to wash it in the sink every night (around 12-1am) and it was dry in time for the morning.

They're a little spendy, but completely worth it, IMHO.

ETA - before Mia, I was a 42G, and I fit in a 44F in the Anita. Granted, it's not as "perfect" a fit as a traditional underwire, but it's damn close! ;)

These two sites have great selection and recommendations for larger busts:
www.breakoutbras.com
www.birthandbaby.com

You could call or email them for recs...I have done this with both and they were very helpful in recommending styles based on your size and shape. Both have fast and free or very cheap shipping, and the lowest prices on the Internet IMO.

I wasn't too impressed with Birth and Baby--they were not very helpful and didn't ship out an item, but I was quite impressed (and have read of others) being impressed with Breakout Bras--just my 2 cents. Maybe others have had different luck. And they have the greatest variety of sizes I've seen.

It's a boy! Now we just need to come up with a name! Narrowed down to Sawyer, Zachary, or Joshua...
