I was just reading an article about Elle Mc. in Vanity Fair. Her lingerie line has maternity/nursing bras. Has anyone tried them and if so, what did you think?

I have the smoother, less lacy model, and I love it and bought another one! It's the only nursing bra I have found besides Bravado that feels truly comfortable to me (no itching). I am wearing my Elle bras pretty much every day now.

nak....
I bought both from Figleaves and though I think they're beautiful, the suzing seems wonky to me. Tried regular size (34c) but band too big so exchanged for 32d, cups were more like A cups IMHO and couldn't squeeze my boobs into them ;) Got frustrated and sent back but am bummed since they seem great IF you can get the right size!

If you're thinking of trying, sign up for an act at figleaves usa store - you
ll regularly get email coupons for 20% off!

I bought 3 of them and although I haven't used them yet (since DS is due in 6 weeks), I have tried them on and find them really comfortable. And they actually look nice! Which is more than I can say about most nursing bras.

My new favs! I bought the lacy ones but returned them since they are just too lacy for me. I do love the smooth cup ones and if they had them in more colors (black and lilac are what is on the website) I would buy them too.

Like Lynne, the sizing is wonky for me too. I bought them from Figleaves too and ended up with a 32 band although I am a 34 in every other brand I own.

Highly recommended!

Deb - what size did you end up with? I really love the bras and would love for one to fit me but I swear the 32 D looked like a training bra! No "cup" to speak of, especially on the lacy one. I couldn't bring myself to do yet another exchange and order an "E" cup!! Seemed silly when you look at my boobs to order anything more than a C ;)

A 32D worked for me Lynne! The sizing felt different on both the La Mere and the plain one though. I exchanged the lacy one for the 32D and then it still didn't fit properly so I returned both of those.

I would do another exchange Lynne, I really do love the bras a lot and they are really comfy. You feel about these they way I do about the Spanx bras! I want to love those so much but I have boob spillage with that one. I exchanged those too and then just decided to keep them for around the house and my post nursing days next year since they are pretty neat bras.

I have also noticed that my boobs have already gotten smaller with Riley at 5.5 months of nursing. I didn't notice the reduction with Ryan until a good 9 months of nursing. I guess it's the second child thing as evidenced also by my elephant skin stomach that I am trying to take care of at the gym everyday! :)

Ha, I guess you're right. Maybe I should just give up on the lacy one and go for the other. I didn't like the looks of it as much as the lacy one, of course ;) I'm trying to talk a local BFing shop into carrying these so I can try them on at will and get one that works! I just could not believe that a 32 D looked like I was trying to squeeze into my jr high training bras when I measure a perfect 34C, LOL!

I ordered the less-lacy one in lilac, and it is a beautiful bra. However, I also noticed the sizing problems. I ordered a 42DD, even though I was measuring 38/40D at the time, because I knew that there was a row of 6 hooks at the back (not 6 high, 6 sets of hooks). It is still too small, even on the biggest set of hooks.
Also, even with a bra extender, it makes my boobs mush together into one - sports-bra like. I can't keep my seatbelt between my boobs when I am driving :-)
Overall a pretty bra, but I would buy it somewhere where you can try it on - not online.

Where can this bra be purchase other than online?

Thanks everyone. I think I will try and see if any Nordstrom carries it IRL, but I'm not too hopeful. Though they do have it online. Or just buy it from them so I can return it easily if the sizing is completely off. Thanks again, all the info was very helpful

I haven't tried it yet, but I'm planning on ordering one through Babystyle with the 25% coupon code they have out now! (code: SHARE163)

Thanks for all the helpful reviews!
