Don't have an answer on the JW, but just wanted to ask if you thought about the Spanx bra? I think you might like that one as well so make sure you look into it. I know that Lynne loves hers!

Ha Debbie - I find it SO hilarious that we've never met in person yet you know what my lingerie preferences are, LOL :) Yes, I do LOVE my Spanx bra(s) - wearing it today. I could never find good deals on the Hug bra but always wanted to try it. They used to have it at Babystyle and there is a good code posted in bargains - 25% off I think? You might try there, Rachel.

ETA - here's a link to the code

Just peeked at babystyle and didn't see the hug bra :( but DID see they now carry the Elle Mac lacy one and a few other new ones (Le Mystere and one I"d never heard of).

I saw them for $32 each plus 2.95 or so to ship. Let me know if that's a good price and I'll check where. I don't remember at the moment.

I even know what size you wear Lynne (since we are basically the same). Frightening! :)

Lol. The Spanx bra is on my list to try, too. How does the sizing run?

That is a pretty good price. A couple places have them for sale @
$32
http://shop.nurturecenter.com/japweekhugnu.html &

$33
http://www.nurturedfamily.com/detail.aspx?ID=106

But I think the shipping was more than $2.95

IMO I loved the feel of the JW hug bra. The material was very soft and I personally love a bra cup that I can just pull down to nurse in. What I hated about it was that it uses plastic in the straps and mine always broke. For a bra that costs $38.00 that makes me pretty frustrated. I had quite a few of these when I was nursing the first time around.

This time around I decided I wasn't willing to pay $32-$38.00 only to have the plastic break so quickly, so I have 3 others that I have tried and really like and all are extremely comfortable and easy to nurse with.

1.) My favorite is the Blue Canoe oraganics crossover bra. Very similar to the Japanese weekend bra but without any plastic parts and much more affordable at $24.00. Comes in a large assortment of great colors. Love, love this bra.... I highly recommend it.

The other 2 I got at Nordstroms or for the Spanx bra at the spanx.com website and I would check around to see if they have a coupon code.

2.) Spanx bra fits pretty true to size and is extremely comfortable. Since it is not a crossover style bra it takes a little more effort to pull the cup down to nurse but the material is very stretchy so it is very doable.

3.)Felina bare essentials soft cup bra. This is a regular bra but it works great for nursing and runs around $18.00. I also love their ultra soft low rise bikini. I was able to wear these throughout my whole pregnancy and did not have to buy any maternity underwear.

HTH someone.

Yep, it was the nurturecenter web site. You have to choose USPS for the shipping for the $2.95 price.

Thanks for sharing your opinions. I had not-good bras with DD and am determined to not torture myself this time around. I'm going to check out the ones you used. I agree about the plastic piece.

Thanks for some other nice comfy bra suggestions Sandy!

I hope you are doing well, you haven't posted in a while (or maybe I have missed them since I am not on as much as I used to be :)).

I find it pretty true but forgiving (stretchy cups). Go to Nordy's where you can try on to be sure :)

Sigh. Boston doesn't have one, of all stupid things. But I might take a risk with ordering-- definitely going to need some new bras around here.

I think they're also at Saks and Bloomingdales? Here - this store came up in Boston
BOSTON
TURTLE
619 TREMONT STREET
BOSTON, MA 02118

Also, if you go to www.spanx.com and click retailer info (bottom of page) you can select a state and see where all spanx is sold. Not sure exactly where you are :) Also, they have a pretty good return policy if you're not satisfied with the fit. I really do like mine. I'm about a 34C now and find these to be more supportive than say a crossover or Bravado style but still comfy, unlike a more structured band style.

I hope all is well. I haven't posted quite as much lately. I try to read as often as possible but it is definately harder. I always love to see the posts from people who have been around for a while but don't get a chance to post too often. I am having a great time with Alex and Marisa. I wasn't sure how tough it was going to be with two but Marisa is such a mellow baby that she makes it really easy. It makes me almost consider having three. ;)
