I went to Nordstrom today to get fitted. I thought I was a 38C, but it turns out I am...

34 DDD!!! Oh my freaking god. Who knew I could be a porn star! The triple D part is really freaking me out. So, does anyone have a recommendation for a good supportive nursing bra? I am currently wearing crap (pardon my English).

Thanks!

I love love love my Anita 5062's. I have one in white and one in black. I got them at figleaves.com. They are $$, but worth it IMO. Figleaves has free shipping and returns so I bought a few sizes to be safe and returned the ones that didn't fit. I'm a 34E (DD).

Anita always has bras with small band/large cup...Le Mystere also makes one...and so does Emma Jane (I think you'd find this on FigLeaves). I was digging through my box of old nursing bras the other day, and pulled out a 34F! Le Mystere! I couldn't even believe it! After 19 mos of nursing (and counting), I'm down to a 34D. I had no clue my boobs were so huge months ago!

Several websites have a large selection of Anita. On the 5062, be forwarned that it runs big, so you'd have to possibly go down one band size, and up one cup size...I wear a 32E in that model.

Why would I have to go up one cup size? I can't imagine ordering a 32 band size. Even in high school I never got anything smaller than 34.

ETA: Question about sizes. Is 34DD the as 34E? and 34DDD same as 34H? Also, I saw the Anita on figleaves for $63 and on Amazon for $51, is there a catch?

Bras just work that way...like if you were to need to wear a 36 in something, you would most likely wear a 36DD. The band is proportionate to the cup...that is why a 34DDD sounds so huge...you have to adjust the cup size, when changing the band size. It all depends on the bra, though. That's why you may have to try a couple of sizes to get the right fit. I think that 34DDD is the same at 34E, but I can't recall for sure...it's been a long time since I've worn that size. The people at BirthandBaby.com are helpful...give them a call, and they can advise you on the fit of each style. Also, figleaves is more expensive, but they do have a $20 off of $100 right now, so you could factor that in, if you are buying two bras.

Good luck with your hunt!

How do I get the $20 off $100? Can I get it in Amazon too? (figleaves sells through Amazon too).

Thanks

I would go through Ebates. They have the coupon for you to click on there. You also get 7% back through Ebates.com.

Edited to remove referral information - per BBB Rules.

I just got an Anita too and I like it. not sure which model. I also discovered Majamas. I am a 34DD and I think I finally found something that I will be comfortable in all summer!

http://www.majamas.com/basics.htm

I bought original nursing to sleep in and cozy cami for hot days. I will probably go back and buy a Santa Cruz too. A friend loaned me the sleepy dress. It is soft, comfy and so cute on. I felt really great in it. My boobs sag as it is and I actually looked OK in their stuff.

it's kind of hard to see online but I was at their store. You basically pull the front panels down, or the stuff has support but enough give that you slip it under your boob.

it is all designed by a mom who was frustrated when she needed nursing stuff. I met her this week. Great woman - fantastic products.
