I really dread this, but I need to get a maternity bathing suit. I have gotten away during previous pregnancies with borrowed bathing suits from my sister, but it is time to get a new one.

Does anyone have any recommendations?? Someone please tell me Lands End makes a maternity bathing suit!!

I don't think LE does maternity anymore. Maybe check their overstocks. I got a Japanese Weekend tankini last pregnancy that I absolutely adored. The top was slit down the middle so it allowed room for growth and let your belly show if you wanted. It also came in adorable prints. I checked their website the other day though and there wasn't anything that cute. But the fit was great so if you're not looking for cute prints, JW may be the way to go.

You're in luck! LE has a bunch of suits on overstock for a very good price http://tinyurl.com/fheso . It looks like sizes are limited.

I actually bought a swimsuit from Target. I live in Hawaii and have been going to the beach at least once a week. The suit has held up very well and I've been happy with it. It's not as cute as other maternity swim suits I wanted but I felt sick about shelling out so much money for something that would only be used for a few months. This is the one I have http://tinyurl.com/z2b4v . This one looks nice too. http://tinyurl.com/fghpp

Old Navy has several styles to choose among:

I still have my Old Navy suit from my last pregnancy, otherwise I'd be seriously shopping those LE overstocks the PP posted a link for.

I actually have the same Target bathing suit as Angie, and found it to be fairly flattering for a maternity suit.

I'm wondering how the Old Navy suits sizes run...because I find for me their tops run small but their bottoms run large...at least in regular maternity clothes.

I like those ON suits. I probably would have bought one if they had them when I needed a suit. I like the thought of boy shorts.

Old Navy suits are really cute!!! I am going on a beach vacation in a few weeks and got 2 for pretty cheap on ebay. They also have some cute ones on their website. Target has some cute ones too. I personally wouldn't spend a lot on maternity swimsuits - I looked at the ones at Mimi (too $$$) and Motherhood (Old Navy is cuter and cheaper) too.

You can't beat the price for the Old Navy bathing suits, but I will warn you that they don't offer a whole lot of "support" up top. Also, IMO, the bottoms do seem to run bigger than the tops (even though you have to buy the whole set in one size). The bottoms are also a little skimpier than some maternity suits - good if you want the suit to fit under your belly, bad if you don't want to feel like you're "hanging out"! I splurged during my first pregnancy and got a Pea in the Pod tankini. I think I spent $80 on it, but got a lot of use out of it and it fit GREAT and held up through pregnancy #2 as well.

Are there bathing suits specifically made for nursing moms? If so, does anyone have a recommended brand/style?
