Maternity Swim Wear- Show Your Belly or Not?

Just wondering what everyone's opinions are... When wearing a swim suit this summer, are you looking for one that covers your belly or one that shows it off?

With my first I wore a full coverage tankini b/c I was due at the end of June and I was huge. With my second, I wasn't showing enough to have "cute" pg belly during the summer. This summer I'll be somewhere in the middle and I'm thinking I want a swim suit that shows off my belly.

What preference does everyone else have?

I would love to have a cute little suit that showed my belly but I don't have the guts to wear one. :7

Last pregnancy we went to Miami and I got a tankini that was split down the middle so my belly could show but I could keep it covered if I felt like it. I mostly let it show. I love preggo bellies.

If I looked like Demi Moore did on the cover of Vanity Fair, I'd show my belly ALL THE TIME. Alas, I definitely do not.

I cover up my stretch marks, thank you, but I'm fine with seeing other mama's cute bellies. Fine. Just jealous. Very very jealous. ;)

I bought a swim suit from Mimi too. I almost went with the tankini but opted for the regular "halter style" top instead. I needed it in October when we went to Jamaica (I was about 6 months at that point). I didn't have any strech marks at that point and I thought it looked cute. I'm all for showing the belly!

The most beautiful woman I ever saw at the beach was a pg woman wearing a black very sophisticated bikini bathing suit. I didn't even know she was pg until she came out from swimming (in the freezing atlantic ocean!). She had her hair slicked in a bun and dark sunglasses on. She held herself with confidence and poise. I think if I were at a big beach, I'd sport a bikini if the rest of my bod could handle it, but around the house or around neighbors, I'd go for something a little more conservative.

I would love to show off a cute prego belly, since I don't have the guts to do it in my regular figure. This is my first summer pregnant, and we are joining our neighborhood pool, so I'm still in the market for a swim suit. Unfortunately, nothing seems to look good on me as I'm in my last trimester and just super big. If I was just "all baby", sure, but my prego weight has gone everywhere! If anyone knows of good coverup ideas that don't make you look like a tent, let me know!
