Why are so many maternity tops halter tops these days? For that matter, what gives with the spaghetti straps? Don't even get me started on the strapless numbers...

I know there must be a % of women out there who can wear these styles while pg, but the vast majority of pg women that I know wouldn't risk it...

Is a sleeveless top with straps to conceal bra straps too much to ask for? Really?

*sigh*

Just in case your wanting one of the offensive tops, MelindaG has a comfy strapless (really a converable) maternity bra. It doesn't push up but helps some kepping the girls there. ;)

LOL - I couldn't wear halter tops or spaghetti straps in HS, my girls have never been "there," IYKWIM

That said, I would love to be able to wear one of those tops...*sigh*

Petra what about a non maternity convertable bra that goes around the neck?

Here's some I checked, but as much as I feel like I know you, I just can't remember your bra size ;)

This one looks really supportive for a strapless!

LOL - thank you Julie :)

I'm a 38/40 E/Fish at the moment, and I can't wear underwires because of my funny-shaped boobs (the girls are attached really high up, but hang really down low)...the last time I wore an underwire strapless that wasn't longline, it buckled under the pressure...

I'm on the lookout, though...right about the time I find something that will work, I'll bet the halters go out of style :P

Petra~

I have a similiar problem with underwires....need the support, but my boobs go way back into my armpits, and most underwires are just miserable. I needed a strapless for my husband's graduation dinner last Friday, and after several hours of shopping, found one at Motherhood/Mimi that worked, and is actually comfortable!!! I am fairly certain they go up to 40E. I got a 38E. My store has Mimi and Motherhood combined and both have bras. The Motherhood one, although about half the price ($18 versus 36 I think), had a typical underwire and did not work. The Mimi one was perfect!
