I was wondering what everyone here has done for PJs? When I was pg with DD it was during the summer and I wore one nightgown and my regualr knit pjs the whole time. This time, I am wondering if I can make it through the winter (in FL, but still...) that way. I am VERY cold natured, even when pg.

Anyone have any nice pjs that aren't gowns? I like knit the best, maybe lightweight flanel bottoms.

Thanks!

well, with #1 I bought some regular flannel PJ bottoms in a size larger and folded them down under my belly. They had an elastic waist. I believe I got them at Sears. She was born in Feb, so they were nice over the winter months. With #2 it was spring and summer and I just bought elastic waist PJ bottoms and wore cami's. I am in Fl too so I could have probably worn them into November. Gap body sometimes has cute flannel bottoms, so does Victorias Secret online if you could wear their L or XL, son't know what size you are. MHood has a few PJ sets that would be nice for wintery months also. So does Mimi. These are from MHood

These are from Mimi although more expensive, they are cute!

Thanks, I am normally a 4, so I don't think the L or XL would work unless I put them over my belly. LOL. Oh, and, I don't have a belly yet so that wouldn't work. I'm sure I can get by a few more weeks with what I have, but last night my bottoms were so uncomfortable it got me thinking. I really like that last pair from Mimi, but I'm afraid to see how much they cost. Maybe I will look at Target tomorrow.

I didn't go for the maternity pjs because they all seemed to have nursing tops and it just wasn't what I was looking for. I got the Victoria's Secret flannel pjs in a bag.

I really liked them because I could wear the pants under my belly (they are elastic and drawstring) and when I got really big, I wore a tank top underneath and left the top open. Pre-pregnancy I was about a size 2 - 4 and I got them in a small (usually would get an XS, but I wanted them to be a bit bigger) and they worked great! Plus, its not too heavy so it's great for FL winter.

Oh, they are a bit pricey now, but around October or November they put them on sale for Chrismas for around $30 and you can usually get free slippers too!

HTH!

Honestly, I never bought maternity PJs. I just wore my regular pants under my belly and a maternity long sleeved t-shirt on top to cover the gap. I have also resorted to wearing DH's PJ's, LOL. I do agree on buying a larger non-maternity knit PJ. I am a size 8 but would probably do well with a size large.

I just kept my eyes peeled when I went to WalMart. When they had something that might work, I'd get it in a larger size and try it on at home. If it didn't work, I'd bring it back on my next trip. I am too cheap to spend $ on PJ's for only 4 or 5 months with a big belly.

Well, I ended up with some $6 cotton pjs from Target. They were 75% off, so I figured that was a good deal :-) They are a small, but seem to run very big after I washed them. I might indulge myself in one pair of nice maternity pjs if I find some perfect ones, but otherwise I'll just stick with regular pjs- especailly when they are $6.

Thanks!

Towards the end of my pregnancy with DS (who was born in January) I couldn't stand anything around my waist, and I ended up living in cotton nightgowns (non-maternity ones). My MIL was nice enough to find me some simple cotton ones that were very comfortable to wear.

I also had some PJs of my dads (purchased while he was in the hospital) that I wore when I could still tolerate waistbands.

I bought plus size yoga pants or PJs from target last time, and I still have them to use this time. I've also picked up a couple nursing sets that are knit and stretchy, so I can wear them now.

Both of my pregnancies were winter/spring and I did what most of the previous posters did - elastic waist flannel pants & oversized shirts. In the last few months I would move up a size (from pre-preg size) and would also just wear below the belly.
THis was perfectly comfy for me.
