You all are so knowledgable so I thought I'd ask. I love those Keen sandals (Newport style with closed toes) for both adults and kids but $50 for kids is way too much for me to spend. Does anyone know of any knockoffs, or something similar for cheaper. They'd be so great for summer.
Thanks for any info.

I hope you get some good answers to this. I just discovered Keens when I tried on a pair myself and thought, "I like these. Gee, a closed toe would be really handy for DD on the playground. I can't believe I just thought the word, 'Gee!' What's next, 'golly'? I am so not hip. I wonder what the kids are saying these days. Oh yes, where was I again? Cute sandals, maybe I should get some for DD."

So far, I've just been looking for sales and deals (check the bargaqins board for coupon codes) on the real thing. Have you looked at eBay? Might be some NIB or EUC for sale.

Thanks Karen, they seem to go for ridiculously high on e-bay, $40+ for used ones. I'll keep looking there to see if I can get lucky, but it seems there are few bargains on e-bay any more.

I hear you about eBay. I just remembered this thread discussing Keen knockoffs at Payless. Might work for you?

I think Lands End and LLBean both have Keen knock-offs now as well.

I've been looking for a closed toe sandal too. Here, I found the LL bean ones:

I found some keens for $40 on zappos (free ship) and bought them for dd. I agree it's more than I'd like to spend, but I wore my keens every single day last summer, and likely will again this year-and they've held up well. i couldn't find anything else I liked for her, and my 2nd choices were in the 20-30 dollar range anyway. I imagine we'll get tons of use out of them even if she outgrows them by the end of the summer.
