Cool WATCH options. What do you wear?

Howdy, folks! So for my graduation present my mom wants to buy me a watch--something I don't have currently because I am SOOOO picky! lol
As far as budget goes, I don't imagine that she wants to spend more than $200 although she technically hasn't given me a budget.

Here's the challenging part--I like the look of the really nice expensive jewelry style watches but I actually like leather bands for the way that they feel on me. Whatever I get, it would have to be at least marginally waterproof as every mother of a toddler can well imagine! I am also wondering if there are any really cool options for timers, or alarms that are built into watches. My DS is Type 1 D and needs to be checked every 2.5 hours or so after getting an insulin injection. Plus, I'll have a newborn that will be nursing and it would be great to time how long it has been between feedings too (not that he'll be on a "schedule" per se but it helps to interpret what is going on, you know?).

My style is pretty laid back. I wear mostly jeans and t-shirts and my merrell sandals. My bags are all mostly casual totes that fit a ton of stuff.

What have YOU found that works well for you in your lifestyle?

I wear my husband's Tiffany Portfolio watch (he got it as a corporate gift, but never really wore it). I take it off when I give the kids a bath or take a shower, but it otherwise stays on. The face is a bit scratched, and I've replaced the band and battery once already. It goes nicely with my casual-mom lifestyle (right now, I am wearing a Shade tee, black yoga pants and Keens, if that gives you any indication of my style).

Thanks to BAF and C99 for posting your watch styles. Honestly, from my survey it seems like either a digital style watch or a simply decorative will "work" with my style. Now I just have to buckle down and find exactly what I like.

I saw some watches well under my price range that I quite liked on the Nordstroms website that were under the brand Fossil. Anyone have experience with this brand?

Just got a compliment on it today from my dermi. She couldn't believe I found a digital watch that has a nice metal band.

I have the Movado Amarosa in the silver/gold combo. I wear it every day and have for the past 4 1/2 years. I love it! It's a bit scratched up at this point, but I don't mind.
