Clothes for Hawaii trip?

I'm so excited for our upcoming family trip to Hawaii and Kauai, but am a bit stumped as to things I'll need. Last time I was there (almost 10 years ago), I lived in sarongs and bikini tops. But none of my sarongs go with my current swimsuit, plus I seem to remember that I had to keep adjusting them, which could be a drag with kids.

I'd love some ideas of a great item or two to be sure to bring. I can't really remember exactly what the weather is like, etc.

Hey thanks for the great tips! I forgot to check to receive notification of posts so I didn't think anyone had responded, so yay!

Now I need to figure out where to find some flowy skirts that aren't too crunchy and a cute sundress.
