ok - I am not really looking for a diaper bag, because I am SICK of carrying diaper bags, but I want something to serve a similar purpose. Imagine a Land's End Canvas tote (open top design), but smaller size in leather. Something I can carry to church, grocery shopping, out with the girls (ha ha) that doesn't scream "DIAPER BAG" but that I can throw a few diapers/wipes in when I need to. I saw a cute one at church last weekend in red leather - coach or guess I think (I wasn't close enough to read the letters) that was cute, but the woman left before I could ask her where she got it. Oh, and inexpensive, as in under $50 (ideally much cheaper, but I know I need to be realistic!)

Any ideas???

It isn't leather, but I think these are SO cute, and they come in a bunch of sizes (scroll down). I almost ordered one but was worried about the lack of any type of closure at the top (but it sounds like that's what you want).

I was looking for something similar to what you describe and got a tote/purse at the Clarks outlet. It is leather, zip top, with a couple of buckle-closure pockets on one side (that can hold a sippy if needed!). I know that doesn't help unless you happen to be near a Clarks outlet, but I thought I'd throw it out there.

I hate diaper bags. I don't want to carry around some plastic bag that's covered in bows and Winnie the Pooh. Yes, I need to carry diapers and other baby things, but I don't want to sacrifice my style. If my kid were able to carry her own diaper bag, it sure would have puppies and bunnies all over it. But as it stands, I carry it so there will be no bunnies or Baby Einstein characters or anything else baby related on it. It will look like a normal adult woman's bag, but it will just happen to have diapers inside.

That's why God created Target.

Try any of the following:

Another option is to buy the bag you want and then buy one of those diaper wallets that hold your diapers, wipes, and creams, and have a changing pad attached. All you have to do is throw it in YOUR bag and you're set.

It IS possible to find a diaper bag that isn't so obviously a diaper bag, and it's possible to find one in your budget.
