I have a latex allergy and I'm looking for some new nursing bras that are either latex free (preferred) or have no exposed latex. While I have a few sleep nursing bras, I mostly want something that will give me good support and a nice shape (either underwire or non-underwire are fine), not a jog bra.
Currently _all_ of my nursing bras have some degree of exposed elastic at the band, even the sleep bras that seem to have cotton over the entire band (I get breakouts right at the seamline...apparently a little latex peeks out there with the threads). My solution thus far has been to mostly wear the bras inside out unless the bra's seam would show through my shirt, and then I either slip something under the band (at least in front) or just suffer through. But after 5 months with DD1 and now 6 months with DD2, I'm sick of it and just want something I can wear as it was meant to be worn. Latex allergies are pretty common, so I'm thinking that someone has to have come up with a solution...I just hope they make nursing bras.
By the way, spandex isn't generally a problem. I don't think there is any natural latex in spandex, but if there is it is a low enough concentration where I don't react.
Thanks for your help.
