We're considering purchasing a wooden high chair as oppose to getting a Chicco Mamma or Prima Pappa. Anyone have opinions on wooden high chairs and specific brands?

I don't know much about wooden high chairs but when I was considering getting one someone mentioned the wood tray is a bad idea because of wood and bacteria. Similar to a wood cutting board as opposed to a plastic one. I never really thought about it cleanliness wise but I guess that its something to think about. My neighbor has a wooden chair and she had to get another one for her second. Apparently it wasn't made well. I'm sure some are made better than others but I would definately
research before you buy. Hers really looked like it was falling apart!

Thanks for your response. I guess I didn't really think about the bacteria issue until you mentioned it, but it makes sense. Aesthetic wise a wooden high chair would look nicer in our kitchen, but practicality is a higher priority. Thanks for your input!
