Fisher Price Crawl n Cruise Playground (aka Cruise Around Playground)

I was thinking about getting this for my son for Christmas (he's not yet crawling) but I've heard some mixed reviews about it. Before I go out and spend $50 I want to know that it will be worth it. Does anyone have this or heard things about it?
