My baby loves looking at toys that light up, and I think they might help her tolerate riding in the car. Most toys I see, though, require that the baby manipulate them in some way to turn on lights or music, and she's not old enough to do that yet. Can anyone recommend a car-practical toy with lights? Thanks!

I never got one, but I seem to remember Fisher-Price made something that was "remote-controlled" by the driver. Maybe someone else around here can comment on it or something similar.

Sorry I can't help more....

My daughter has had it since she was about 1YO and still loves it (almost 2YO). HTH

My daughter is a HUGE fan of the Neurosmith Sun Symphony. It is a plush sun with a face embroidered on it that has rays with colored lights and beautiful classical music that plays. The toy has a velcro attachment strap that you can use to hook it to a car seat.

The lights and music are activated by a light touch. In a car, the normal movement of the car will cause it to activate. As she gets older there is a more advance setting that plays the first few notes of the song with a single instrument, the it stops and waits to be hit again. On the third hit a full orchestral version of the song plays.

We all love this toy!
