Some one posted that they use the restaurant style wooden high chairs.
Is this a better alternative to the Tripp Trapp?
Can I use the Tripp Trapp as soon as they sit up.I am very apprehensive about using primo or chicco since reading postings on this site. They sound like a germ nightmare and a pain to clean and maintain.

Whether you can use a KinderZeat (know as Tripp Trapp in Europe) or a restaurant style chair as soon a baby is sitting up depends mostly on the baby. Lola would have been fine in the KinderZeat from about 6 mos. on (she sat up at 4 mos.). I believe the specs on the chair are for 18 mos. and up though. There's a knock off sold by One Step Ahead (I think) that has a belly bar (The KinderZeat does not have this. The Tripp Trapp which is sold in Europe does.) that may mean you could use the chair earlier. I probably wouldn't use a restaurant style chair earlier than 6 mos. either.

Even sitting, my daughter gets swallowed up in restaurant chairs
(Buggy Bagg to the rescue!), so I would worry about something comparable at home for an infant. What about the FP or the Combi or just one of the portable reclining feeding seats?
