I currently have a Chicco Mamma Chair for Peter. My mother in Law will be day caring for me soon and she wants a high chair, fairly inexpensive but good quality. So the question, is what do you all recommend?
Thank You, Peters Mom:7

I love the Baby Trend from Toys R Us. It's on sale here this week for $8.00 off. Worth checking out. Think it's about $80.

I'd check out the Fisher Price Healthy Care high chair. At BRU, this chair is $69.99. Plus, my BRU will take TRU coupons so that's $8 off with the coupon. The TRU coupons are good through March 30. TRU may have this chair as well. I'm not sure. A lot of people use this chair as their primary one and are really happy with it.

I second the FP-- it's a great chair.

Thank You, I was looking at the FP, but was concerned we the comments everyone has made in the past. Like that it is flimsy.

You may want to check local consignment stores. I saw a Peg Perego Prima Pappa in really good condition the other day for $50.

If you do a search on this site or look through old threads about the FP Healthy Care, you will find lots of positive comments. The main complaints I've read about the FP Healthy Care are the fabric ruffle around the seat pad and the lack of wheels. If wheels are really important, you can check out the FP Deluxe Healthy Care. Target has it for $84.99. It has wheels, a removable head support and 3 dishwasher safe trays. HTH

The F-P Healthy Choice can be had at some warehouse stores (e.g. BJ's) for $39. At that price point, it's probably a good choice. My favorite is the Baby Trend high chair; a bit more expensive, but very good quality for the price and has a lot of nice features. If storage space is a factor, the Baby Trend is definitely the one to look at.

I haven't found it to be flimsy in the slightest. We use it as our primary chair (since DH balked at the price of the Combi), and we've had no problems whatsoever. My dd is pretty active, and the FP has been fine.
