DH and I are looking for daycare. We found one we really liked, but in the infant room, 2 caregivers were feeding babies while rocking others (manually) in their bouncy seat with their feet. We thought that the babies were being rocked harder/ faster than we had ever seen. Can this injure the baby?

I don't know where the fine line of shaken baby syndrome comes in, . but doesn't sound like that would be good for them.

This is probably an instance where you should trust your gut. If you're concerned about your baby's safety, you won't feel comfortable leaving your baby there. That being said, you can safely bounce the baby in the bouncer with your hand or your foot and it doesn't take much force to create movement in the bouncer. Plus, babies are tough. If you do decide to go with this daycare center, you probably want to mention your bouncer concerns. HTH
