I'm thinking of getting the 4 stage feeding seat for my not-qiute 3-mo-old. We live in a small apartment, so this seems like a good alternative to eventually getting a high chair. My concern, though, is that our kitchen chairs might be too small for it. Our chairs are just 15 or 15 1/2 inches from front to back, and the backs curve pretty tightly in at the sides. I'm wondering if we'll be abe to recline the baby's seat. I'd appreciate advice from anyone with experience with this seat, or a similar one.

Thanks!

We have small chairs and this one fits fine but as a safety precaution dh added an extra safety strap. I would like to see the one you're talking about if you have a link.

Just in case this helps someone: We got the First Years feeding seat and it fits fine on our small chairs. I think it would work with practically any chair that has a back. I thought the seat might not recline all the way on our chair, but the design has taken that concern into account and avoids the problem.

Our 3-month-old does slump a bit even when the chair is reclined fully. He looked uncomfortable, so we put phone books under the front legs of the chair the seat is strapped on. I'd worry about the possibility of him jiggling the chair off the phone books, but he's not that strong yet and we only put him in the seat when we want him to "join us for dinner," so we can keep an eye on him.
