Baby Trend or FP Healthy Care Deluxe

Hello everyone!

In reading some of the previous postings, we've decided on getting either the Baby Trend or the Fisher Price Healthy Care Deluxe High Chair. Any insights/comments/suggestions/preferences would be very much appreciated between these two chairs. We have a 5 month-old "chubby" baby boy who loves to move around a lot.

We have the new khaki and green Baby Trend and love it. The only drawback is that it's a fabric seat, although from what I understand, there's a new vinyl seated one coming out in September. I plan on putting a bathtowel over the seat by cutting slits for the straps and leg post. Also another suggestion from other Mommies is to pick up some carseat strap covers from Target ($1.99) to keep the straps clean. :)

I seriously considered the FP one, but I felt that the BT was more sturdy for the same price.

I suggest you take your DS to the store and try the seats out in person. I have found that the distance between the tray and the seat vary tremendously in different brands.
