Well, is 11 wks and enjoys his swing, bouncer and gymini. I have tons of other toys waiting to be used but they are appropriate for 6+ mos. What toys are appropriate for 3-6 mos??? We do have the graco jumpster and exersaucer that I believe we can use starting at 4-5 mos. He also enjoys Baby Einstein in short spurts....so I would imagine his attn. span willl increase for these videos?? Anything else???

DS liked several Lamaze toys during this period: Celeste the Sun (http://store.babycenter.com/product/toys_books_and_music/by_age/0_6month/2338), Max the Monkey (http://store.babycenter.com/product/toys_books_and_music/by_age/0_6month/2336) and the Clutch Cube (http://store.babycenter.com/product/toys_books_and_music/by_type/development/4553). He also liked the Skwish (http://store.babycenter.com/product/toys_books_and_music/by_type/classic_toys/2065;jsessionid=ZWEK3DCDYNGG4CUAQMMSJBQ). He got the Leapfrog Leapstart Learning Table for Christmas when he was 4.5 months and began playing with it immediately (without the legs) (http://store.babycenter.com/product/toys_books_and_music/by_age/6_12month/4624;jsessionid=JICSQHI35WLG2CUAQMMCIIQ).

I wouldn't be concerned about pulling some of your toys for 6 months+ out and seeing whehter there's any interest in them. If not, put them away again, but sometimes you can introduce the toys "early" and they're hits. Good luck.

I found at 2 1/2 to months to 3 that Tristan loved holding onto a soft piece of fabric...actually a hemp cloth diaper :)...

He also like to wrap his arm around something as he sleeped
He really loved a little blue cloth of like 12inches by 12inces with a horse head attached and plastic teething rings that I got on clearance at Target.

At about 3 1/2 months-4 months he started enjoying toys. He hold onto his skwish at shakes it...and jsut these past two weeks shakes his stuffed animals with bells in them up in the air like he is waving a flag. Also at this time he started "talking" to certain stuffed animals particularily a lamb he curls up to.

He loves orange!!!!So jsut bought him Elmo (thanks to Joanne's post) and he "talks" to Elmo

I have a lot of lamaze toys...and he also likes a "snake" that is sold at target and is softer than the lamaze snake (which he also has)-it is green and yello (and other colors) but it was lent to us (though seen it at Target) and he does love it.

How funny - I thought my DS was the only 4 mo old with a love of lamb. It's so cute to see him wrestle with it. Sometimes I wonder how it is possible that the lamb seems to win every time

Did you buy yours...I wonder if it is the same one...ours was a gift and I'd do anything to have a few stashed up...the label says "friends" soemthing or other...but no other source of info.

He is a lamby, paci boy!!!! :)
