Hook-on high chairs?

Does anybody have one? What do you think? Are they safe? How old does DS have to be to use it? Any brand reccommendations?

We have the Chicco hook on chair and love it. I bought it to use at my MIL's house. She has a nice wooden table and a counter top that hold the chair. DS has used it since he could sit up. Here's a link to the one we have:

I have the Me Too hook-on chair and I think it's terrific. It is the best seat (I think) for travel, sinc eit folds up extremely compactly to fit in most diaper bags.
