graco swing question

Hi. We just got our swing and put in together this weekend. We are having a little trouble with the motor and I was wondering if this is normal or maybe we have a bad one. It won't start by itself. You have to give it a very hard push to get it to swing. And if you don't get it swinging fast enough or if you touch the mobile or something it just stops. Anyone else have these problems or do we have a dud swing?

I think you need to make a trip to the store and exchange your swing. We have a 6-speed Graco Open Top Swing and haven't had any of the problems that you describe. Our started swinging at the touch of a button, so I think you have a dud.

Yea, that doesn't sound right. Sometimes it takes a few seconds to get swinging, but it shouldn't *need* a push. If you stop it it should keep going when you let go. Sounds like you got a lemon. Hopefully you can just exchange it. I have a 2 speed Graco open-top and like it very much.

Nope. It DOES need a push to start. At least according to my directions.
