Can anyone else suggest a good, short and sweet bedtime book. DS is 4.5 months. TIA!

My little one loves Goodnight, Gorilla (don't know the author offhand) as well as the Going to Bed Book by Sandra Boynton.

We love those too! Also, "Time for Bed".

DS LOVES TIme for bed by Mem Fox...I have read it to him so much I have it memorized! Very cute book! He also really likes one There's a Wocket in my Pocket - Dr. Seus! I think what gets his attention are the rhythmic rhymes. Try Goodnight Moon again in a week or so...DS didn't care for it much at first, but now he seems to really like it - especially the colorful pages.

We also like Pajama Time by Sandra Boynton. It wasn't until just this week that Colin started enjoying Good Night Moon. I think he's finally old enough to really enjoy the repetition.

I don't blame him. LOL It's definitely not on my favorites list! Heck, we don't even own it... LOL

I love "God Gave Us You". We got it at the local Christian book store and it's SWEET! "In Case you ever Wonder" by Max Lucado is another great one.

But for babies...we like the Sandra Boynton ones. The Going to Bed Book, Pajama Time.... those are our favorites. :D

Goodnite God is really sweet.

We are trying Goodnite Moon, but he does not pay attention to any books yet.

I Love You as Much was the first nighttime book DS liked -- really, it was loved. He's now into Time for Bed, Goodnight Gorilla, and Goodnight Moon. We started Goodnight Moon as a daytime book, which he took to quickly, and recently moved it upstairs for bedtime.

Hi Christine,

I love the books by Dorling Kindersley Publishing (the same people who do the Travel books...previous life...sigh). They are padded board books that are quick and easy to read. Best of all, they're bright, cheerful pictures of real babies/children doing things, which my daughter was attracted to as a baby and which my son now enjoys looking at. Here are a couple of links to two books that I'm currently using:

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/1564585328/103-1181191-2531060?v=glance

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0789436507/qid=1063768235/sr=2-1/ref=sr_2_1/103-1181191-2531060

If the above links do not work, here is the information on the books:

First one: "Good Night, Baby" by Mike Good/Stephen Shott
Second one: "Baby Faces" (no author)

I also tried reading "Goodnite Moon" to DS and he not really interested in the book right now. My DD wasn't really into that book until she was close to a year old.

Hope this helps,

Our two favorites are I Love You, Little One (Nancy Tafuri) and Guess How Much I Love You (Sam McBratney). Both are so sweet, it sometimes brings tears to my eyes!

We have the board book versions so Gwen can chew on them, so far her favorite part!
