I went into my local Big Lots today. Amy has decided to make her latest obsession Monsters Inc and I am looking for clearance toys, etc. on them.
Well I didn't find anything, but I was surprised at the number of decent toys they had in stock. There were a lot of brand name items, including some Barbies, Hot Wheels, Little People and licensed Sesame Street baby/preschool toys. I also saw a lot of Clifford and Blues Clues. There was a great deal of selection, particularly if you don't mind getting last year's hot toys (and what does your baby care?). The prices were generally about 20% to 40% off the full retail price at Toys R Us (when the item was sold there). It's certainly worth a look if you are just browsing.
