My 14 month old son is into eveything. I was asked where I was going to put the christmas tree this year, I laughed, but seriously thinking ahead to the nightmare that awaits. I have an open floor plan. The best option is to maybe get a gate and enclose the tree. The above site is one option for a gate, it even says it has been used for protecting trees. Any suggestions or other options?
Thanks ALI

We got this last year primarily for our big dogs-110lb and 120 bullmastiffs and we knew that we would eventually use it for the baby as well this year at Christmas. I love this gate!! It's a nice gate/yard. It's also very sturdy!!!

The rule here when we have toddlers is to buy a blue spruce tree. :) Blue spruce will cost ya a bit more but they are POKEY! They hurt if you touch them. :D It worked with Adrienne, so we'll see if a pokey tree will deter Miss Stinker Pants, aka Gabrielle....

Do you mind a small tree? You might want to consider a tabletop size tree so that you can keep the tree and the presents were up and off the toddler zone! If you get a 4-5 ft tree and put it up higher, it won't look too petite! HTH!
