Is anyone familiar with the Amish wooden high chairs such as the one below? Can you tell me anything about it?

I have Jenny Lind style wooden chair, not sure about the one you have shown. I tried Nolan in it around 5 mos or so, when he could sit up & he looked like a peanut in it. He is on the tall side too. I love the look of my wood HC, but probably won't use it until he is older. I opted for the FP Healthy Care HC.

Thank you for your input. I saw one in a commercial & the baby was sitting on a 1" or 2" thick seat cushion--it was very cute.

That sounds like a good solution. You also could try one of those HC pads. It is a pretty chair.

I was wondering if you wouldn't mind taking some measurements of your chair for me? I wanted to know what the seat to the top of the tray height is, and what the depth is from the back of the seat to the tray. I can't find any wooden chairs to look at in person. Thanks so much!

I have a wooden chair kinda like that. IMO, the tray sits a bit higher than on plastic/metal chairs. My dd is 20 months now and she looks just right in it. At 6 months, she couldn't reach much on the tray.

I use a piece of rubbermaid shelf liner, bumpy stuff on the seat to keep her from sliding. :D It just lays on there and I can take it off and wash it when I need to.
