I saw this ad for a Kettler Trike in the One Step Ahead Catalog this weekend.

I t is claiming to be a special edition Kettler trike for $99 with a push bar and seat belt. How does this compare to the deal you guys just got? The co-op came a little too early for us as DD will not turn one for a while yet and it seems crazy to buy a tricycle when she is not even crawling well yet.

If you look at some of the original Kettler co-op thread, the OSA trike was discussed. Apparently it is a lower model Kettler with extra accessories. Maybe it is a Blossom? But it is definitely not a Happy or Jumbo, which is what most people purchased through the co-op. For the same $$, the folks in the co-op got nicer trike.

I started the co-op and didn't want you think I'm ignoring you I don't know the difference. I didn't research the trikes at all because I knew which one I wanted...

I thought I owed you a response...but if you call Kettler directly they will tell you...their web site evidently has a close out on special trikes made just for FAO Shwartz beofre they went bankrupt too...

If you do a search through BB, this was discussed in some length during the summer. I know because I asked the same question you did! :)

This thread gives actual details regarding the model...

If you see a trike that you like I highly recommend getting it. My DS is a little younger than your DD but I got a Kettler anyway. I thought I would keep it for a birthday present this summer, but it turned into a Valentine's Day present. When we went to pick up our Kettler it was put together for us so I let him sit on it while I looked around the store and paid. He LOVED it so I let him ride it out to the car (we used the seatbelt and also got the pushbar and foot rest since I knew he would be to young to use it on his own). Now he loves to be pushed around the house and to go check the mail on it every day.

I'm so appreciative of the work that went into organizing the co-op!
