I'm looking for a car to get DS for his first birthday.

Here is what I want:
1.Parent push handle with steering
2.seatbelt
3.Someplace DS would put his feet safely now while he's young and I'm pushing him along
4. Rubber wheels instead of plastic.
5. Durable to last until he's about 3

Here's one I'm considering:

I like this one that someone posted about:

But with these tricycles will DH keep his feet on the pedals???

Any opinions??

Thanks

Does this car exist

It may exist somewhere, but I haven't seen it. We have the LT Deluxe Cozy Convertible (your first link). It meets some of your qualifications. It has a push handle, a floorboard (that is removable when the child operates the car himself) and durability. Its wheels are plastic, though and there is no seatbelt. DS loves it. It would be very hard to fall out of the car because the sides are fairly high. However, DS does occasionally stand up when he's ready to get out. There is also a cup holder, a horn and various electronic buttons. It steers pretty well. The plastic wheels are noisy, but as far as a comfortable ride, DS doesn't seem to mind. It can be used 3 ways. Initially, the push bar is attached and the floorboard is in. Next, you remove the floorboard. And, finally, you can take off the push bar and the floorboard and the child completely controls the car himself.

ETA that if trikes are in the running, I believe that the Kettlers do have models with push bars, seatbelts, rubber wheels, durability and the pedals on which to place feet.
