View Full Version : Looking for a good lovey!

I was talking to another new mom who had the cutest lovey for her DD. It was cream colored, with a teddy bear head and mini-blankie attached. The mini-blankie was a cream satin. I've found other loveys and in fact ordered the Bernhardt Bear Lovie from Amazon, but the reason I liked this one in particular was because it wasn't a full-sized blanket attached. I want something smaller and more portable.

I chatted with this mom at the store and so of course I can't get a hold of her. I did ask to see the tag which I thought said "charchar" or something, but in doing a search on the web nothing came up.

Does this sound familiar to anyone or can someone recommend a lovey that has a smaller piece of material attached??
TIA!!

I found a similar blankie for Nolan at Ross of all places. His is a small fleece square w/light blue satin trimming & a small fuzzy bear head. They also had a frog which I wish I would of bought.

Nolan's trye lovey though is a blankie his Nana made him. Satin on one side & flannel on the other. He loves this thing!

From what you've described, Jack has the same one you're looking for. It was a gift so I can't tell you where it was purchased but I'm pretty sure it's made by the Boyds Bears Co but I can't check as it's currently in use. :)

is this it? My son has the bigger version and we have to have it everywhere with us. A pain really, esp. in the summer it is so hot! I didn't expect him to fall in love with this one, but he did...

I purchase the smaller version hoping that he would "transfer" his love to the mini version, but he refused to even touch it. lol.

If this is the one you are looking for, they are called "My Banky." You can do a search on-line. There are a lot of new ones on EbaY as well. HTH

If your DS likes his Boyds Bear lovey, you should probably buy an extra one and keep it hidden away somewhere. I got DS the bunny version of this last year and he LOVES it. So I live in constant fear of something happening to it.

Unfortunately, it's a 2003 style, and it's no longer available (Boyds is like Beanie Babies; they make the toys for a little while, then stop, so that they will become collectible). I have searches out for it with several collector websites, with no luck so far.

For DS #2, I already have 2 set aside for backup.

Okay, it's called "snugie toy", not snuglie as I would assume. I thiknk it said made by DCE toys or something to the effect.

We have lovey like the one you described from Barefoot Dreams. They carry them at Nordstrom and The Right Start. The blankie that is attached is small made with CozyChic fabric and edged in satin. Here's a pic of the three kinds they make:

They are part of the CozyChic line and are called Barefoot Buddies with Blanket.

Hi -- What you described sounds like something my DS has. It is called "Beary Soft Boy Blankie" by Eden/Learning curve. They come in pink, light blue and cream color.

My baby loves his SO much that we had to buy another one in case one is in the wash.

I search all around and found the best price at http://store.yahoo.com/kidsurplus/lci88390-88392.html

Sounds like there are a lot of blankies out there similar to what you described. Hope you find one.

My DS has loved his Gund Comfy Cozy. It's sort of like a mat. It's his "boo"(blue) puppy! It's been washed over and over and still looks brand spankin' new. I'm trying to decide between the lamb or the hippo or cow cozy for my DD right now :)

We have the exact same blue cozy dog!! Just two weeks ago I gave it to DS at bedtime to cuddle with and he took to it immediately. He just lights up when he sees it and gives it a big hug. I have been letting him sleep with it, and he likes to hug it or rest his head on the blanket part as he falls asleep.

We've got the puppy, too, and it seems to be C's favorite. I haven't seen them at the Rightstart or Nordstrom for awhile, though, so if anyone has, please let me know because I'm thinking we need a back-up :)

Yep, my ds Jude drags that blue dog cozy all over the house and lays on it. Then he has to look for it at bedtime...I think it's one of the best buys we've made.

I can't decide on which one I want to get my 8 month old dd, who btw, happens to be named Maxx!
