I'm wondering which one to get or if ds even needs one at this point. He's almost 11.5 months and now that we're moving into a house and will finally have room for him to use something like a walker I'm thinking of getting one. He's not walking yet and just took his first steps this past week. He has a big play yard that he loves to cruise around in, holding onto the panels, so does he even need a walker? If so, which one is best? Thanks!

We purchased the Little Tikes Push n Ride when my now almost 3yo was just about to walk and she is STILL using it. I love this one. It has NO lights or sounds, was a great push toy and now my dd rides it all over the yard. Best yet it was only $20.

Here is a link to it on TRU's site

Nolan has a FP push walker ($20) & he practically runs with this thing, he has been using it since Easter. He is very close to walking too. I don't think he will be using it once he walks alone though. I would go w/something like the LT toy that can be used for pushing/riding or the Radio Flyer #12(?) walker wagon. Something that has more use.

DS got the radio flyer #12 for his first birthday. Even though he's walking now- he's still pretty unsteady. He still loves using it- and I don't see an end in sight. His new favorite activity is pushing it around our lawn :) I love the look of it too- and it'a a great toy box when not in use.

We have a few push/pull toys here for DS. I bought him the Little Tykes push & ride and a simple FP walker when he approx. 11 months old. He loved them before he could walk and would push them all over the house.

He'll be 2 next week and he still loves the walkers -- especially the FP one. He calls them his "cars" and insists on pushing them down the street when we go to the neighborhood playground. I don't see him tiring of them anytime soon. We've sure gotten our moneys worth on this one!
