Any Baseball Recommendations?

DS is obsessed with baseball. (I know, a few months ago it was basketball. :) He likes to keep up with the professional sports seasons). He keeps picking up anything that can be used as a baseball bat (ruler, toy shovel, toy broom, gift wrap tube) and gets in a batting stance. It's pretty cute, but maybe a toy bat would be a better bet. Are there any bats/baseball sets that you like? I went to TRU and didn't see any tee-ball sets. I thought that Little Tikes and FP used to have them.

Our neighbors have it and my boys have played with it endlessly. The mechanism to shoot the ball up works really well. And, it can be a tee when they're not ready to do the shooting thing.

BUT, this is probably on the old side for your ds. My sons are 4 and almost 7 and my older one has actually played t-ball. I know there are other smaller ones available but I don't know who makes them anymore.

Fisher-Price used to make something called Baby Baseball. There's one in this e-bay auction. I'm guessing that it has been replaced by the toy above. I bought one for my nephew about 5 years ago.

We have the FP Baby Playzone Baseball. Obviously it's a little out of DD's league right now (hee hee, bad pun...), but it was a Christmas present for DH. You can leave the ball "snapped" into the base and the kid just whacks at it with the bat or you can set it in the base and the ball will go. It's worth $14.99--ours was from Target.

We have that one too. D is not too crazy about it but has played with it from time to time. It is currently in "storage." I got mine at Kohls when all of their FP stuff was 50% off. hth
