I'm looking at replacing our 1st Years Crisp and Clear monitor for a monitor with long-range capabilities. It works fine in the house, but I can barely hear it in the front yard and get nothing but static even 30 ft from the house. I did a Google search and found a British website that recommended a Cobra 2-way radio with a "baby monitor" feature. I am interested in the idea of buying something that could be used for more than one purpose. I've seen people on cruises, beaches and at amusement parks using walkie talkies. Does anyone have experience in using 2-way radios as monitors? Could you recommend a product? Thank you.
