Noisy motor on Incrediblock...

We just put the batteries in and the spinning portion on top makes a loud motor-y noise... almost louder than the music (on low)... is this normal?
We actually had it for a few days without batteries and DD loves to push the turntable around herself (Go DJ!!!) but now I am worried that this may have damaged it? It actually seems to scare DD so we just shut it off.

Does it sound loud when nobody's touching it? Ours is loud when Colwyn presses down on the turning part, but that's it.

If it's really loud otherwise, maybe you should return it.

Hmmm... it is definitely loud if spinning even if no one is touching it. I may have to exchange it... which stinks since I had to stalk TRU to get this one!!!

We got ours last night and the motor is loud on ours too.

It seems to work fine, I think it's just a quirk. I am NOT (!!!!) going back to that horrid TRU! ;)
