FP long range monitor questions

I recently purchased the FP long range monitor. Does anyone know if this is a good purchase??? Does anyone know how babybargains rated it???? I have not opened it up yet and do not want to until I know it is a decent monitor. We had the FP privacy link one and it SUCKED!!!! We would walk outside and it would lose signal. Please, someone help me:)
