Hi, I'm looking for what is the best high chair for home care. I have Fisher-Price Deluxe Healthy Care High Chair in my home, but I need another one for baby-sitter's house. I'm considering "Safety 1st On-the-Go Fold-Up Booster Seat" with seatbelt (http://www.babyage.com/product_details.aspx?productid=4002) because it can be fit onto their dining table and perfect for travel on Oct.

I'd appreciate if you can provide any comment on this product or recommend others.

Thanks in advance,

I'd go with a folding booster seat - we used one of those occasionally for Colin for several months then full time from 15-18 months.

ETA - that's the one we have. It's cheaper at Wal-Mart. It is nice for restaurants but I wouldn't want to travel with it (too bulky).

How about the Fisher Price Healthy Care booster seat. I have this and the Healthy Care Deluxe full size high chair and I actually like the booster better. It's super easy to clean (no cover or crevices for anything to get caught in) and it folds and has a carrying strap. I also has a tray with a removable second tray and a tray cover so it doesn't get dirty. I originally bought one to stay in my car at all times to use at restaurants and friend's houses, but I loved it so much that I took it out of my car and now use it as my every day high chair. I'm even thinking of selling my full size Healthy Care Deluxe high chair and getting 2 more boosters (one for my car and one for the other baby I watch full time). I even like it better then The First Years 3-stage Feeding Seat which I also have (will be selling it today). I bought mine for $24 at Target I think.

Hi -

We have that seat and my 2 yr old actually still eats in it as a booster (just climbs in herself, don't have to strap it) and eats at the table. We've used the heck out of it, but there are some drawbacks. My criticisms would be:
- we had to send it back to Safety1st b/c the whole retractable strap thing stopped working and we couldn't get it to stretch around to clip or then go back. They sent another one but it was sort of a drag.
- the pop panel for storage: 1) doesn't hold anything really and 2) always pops open.
- the tray didn't always seem to clip on too securely - was ok when she was young, but she could get out of it with her knees when she was older.

Finally, I don't know how big your baby is, but it is just hard plastic and is fairly open, so it is easy to "slump" in it. The one Latia? posted with the picture looks to be a little more contoured to the baby.

NOW, I'll tell you the one we LOVED, especially for traveling. The First Years On-the-Go Booster seat. It wil ltotally depend on how big and how squirmy your eater is - it also doesn't have a tray (have to use a little mat on the table). BUT, it is a traveling dream and awesome for other people to have b/c it folds up and deflates so it can be stored easily at there house. You can just zip it up deflated and it's about 3 inches thick + square and it fits right into a tote for carry on or a suitcase. Occasionally it gets a negative review, but most love it.

We still use that for traveling for Maeve at 2 and are almost ready to put our baby in it. Picture is below - best seller on Baby Center http://store.babycenter.com/product/gear/highchairs_and_booster_seats/1907 and is a bunch of other places.

Hope this helps!
