We have one of the seats that you directly attach to your dining room chair. Seemed like great idea at the time, but we are starting to have a hate/hate relationship. Other than the Kinderzeat, are there any highchairs out there that can eventually be pushed right up to the table (instead of going from highchair to booster seat)? Anyone try the wooden Eddie Bauer chair? Suggestions, please. TIA!

We have the svan chair. Here are some info on this chair:

We started using when DD was 5months old and she loves it. I like that we can use it for an infant as opposed to the Kinderzeat which you have to wait until 18mo. DD plays and watches baby einstein in it. There weren't that many posts on this chair when I did a search. The only complaint I remember reading was about the tray being loose after a while. We haven't had this problem yet, but of course we only used it for 2wks. I think the wooden tray is pretty easy to clean also.

Hi Traci...I just bought the Kettler Junior Wooden high chair from the Kettler co-op. I think that Debbie may still order the high chairs for the co-op price. It is $110 and the padding is $20. Debbie gave 35% off of those prices. So my total with the co-op price was about $110 and that included the chair, padding and shipping. This seat is similar to the Kinderzeat. But the Kettler has a bar in front. I looked into the Eddie Bauer because it is to sharp looking. But I was concerned that it would not push up to the table because of the sides. I haven't rec'd the Kettler but riostoker / Ann wrote a review of it. Do a search for it. Here is what it looks like:
