Thomas battery powered trains

Hi,

I was wondering if any of you Thomas experts can tell me if you can push the battery powered engines if the power is off. Or do the wheels stay stationary until it is power on.

You can still push them, though the wheels don't move as freely as the non-battery powered trains. They are much heavier, though, and hurt little toes (and big toes too) when dropped on the floor.

My DS loves his battery powered Thomas and pushes it around a lot when it is off - he likes the clicking sound it makes.
