barclay blocks, how many pieces?

dd is 1, i want to get her a set of those blocks you guys have been talking about, but i cant seem to decide which set to get, any suggestions? i really cant imagine anyone under the age of 18 need the family set, am i wrong?

Hi! We got the 57 piece set, I think that's plenty for now. I wouldn't go a lot bigger than that, especially since they're not really building stuff for quite a while. I think we might eventually supplement it with some pieces from the open stock like car ramps and more arches (only comes w/ one) or with some colored wooden blocks from another manufacturer for variety.)
